MPLS provides system management intelligence to ensure that network traffic is classified, prioritized and scheduled in an optimal way, efficiently servicing bandwidth-hungry, time-sensitive applications. MPLS provides an ideal backbone for interconnecting sites at Layer 2. These Layer 2 VPNs provide the same bandwidth and availability as leased line, Frame Relay and ATM services.
